Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been tipped to make a Premier League switch this summer, but his Paris Saint-Germain teammate Thiago Silva has suggested he should remain where he is for another season or two, as reported by the Express.
PSG are apparently yet to offer the Swedish international a new deal, but Silva has called for an extension to be put on the table.
“I’m not just saying this because I’m friends with him, but I can’t imagine PSG without Zlatan,” said Silva.
“Ibra is invaluable for our team; opponents struggle to get him under control. He’s simply too clever and his moves are very intelligent.
“Some argue that he’s getting old, I would rather say he’s experienced. If I were the club president I would extend his contract for one or even two years.
“He’s like no other, unique. Even at 34 he’s got a huge passion for football.”

Ibrahimovic has been linked to a host of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester United, and West Ham. We’ve seemed like the most likely candidates to secure his signature due to his desire for Champions League football and his preference for a switch to London (via Sky Sports), but there are a number of things that could prevent any potential deal.
It seems unlikely that he’ll remain at PSG, but there are plenty of other clubs who would presumably love to secure his signature. We’d need to be willing to meet his huge wage demands, which very few clubs in the game could actually afford.
Arsenal transfer news
You can see the quality he has every single time he steps on the pitch, but the respect Silva has for him says a huge amount about him too. He’d unquestionably add something to our side, and it would be foolish of Arsene Wenger not to at least consider trying to sign the former Barcelona star.
