Mesut Özil put in another phenomenal performance against Everton this past Saturday evening, and garnered further praise from Arsene Wenger. He’s enjoying some of the best form of his life, and Wenger stressed that anybody who loves watching football must love watching Özil, as reported by FourFourTwo.
The German playmaker grabbed yet another assist against the Toffees, bringing his tally to seven this season. His fantastic cross found Olivier Giroud’s head perfectly, and the French forward was able to deftly flick the ball over the head of Tim Howard.
Wenger heaped praise on the former Real Madrid star in his post match press conference, and waxed lyrical about the qualities he possesses.
“Mesut is a top class player, honestly,” Wenger said.
“Rather than talking about him I would rather watch him again. If you love to watch football, you love to watch Ozil.
“It is a combination of quality of the touch, intelligence and team attitude. He is a real team player, I said that Friday in the press conference.

“He puts his talent at the service of the team and he wants to help the team with everything he does. That makes him efficient.”
Özil has been key in our recent success, and continues to grow into an increasingly important member of the team. He endured a huge amount of criticism when he first arrived in the country, but has really been proving his critics wrong this season.
Arsenal transfer news
He’s been phenomenal since the turn of the year, and now looks truly settled in the Premier League. Wenger is right to talk so highly of him, and it’s only a matter of time before the delusional pundits who endlessly criticise him are forced to come round.
