Arsenal target Arturo Vidal (via the Metro) has has had an action packed time of late, with the Chilean enduring a number of ups and downs. He won the Scudetto with Juventus, crashed out of the Champions League final against Barcelona, scored a brace in Chile’s 3-3 draw with Mexico, and has now been charged after crashing his Ferrari while drink driving (via the Evening Standard).
He has been shown support by international teammate and Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez however, who is standing by his compatriot during this turbulent time.
The 28-year-old – who collided with another vehicle while under the influence – has been hit with a four month driving ban following the incident (via the Standard), but he has been able to return to Chile’s Copa America squad.
Vidal somehow escaped serious injury, despite the nasty looking nature of the crash. The remains of his Ferrari can be seen below, and it’s hard to see how the midfielder came away relatively unscathed.
