Arsenal captain Mikel Arteta has welcomed new signing Vlad Dragomir after the first team squad reported for pre-season training on Monday.
Dragomir, a Romania U-16 captain, was signed from ACS Poli Timisoara for a fee in the region of €100,000 and has already begun training with the team (via The Guardian).
Given that we signed Krystian Bielik in January, it is clear that our scouts believe that Eastern-Europe may be the hotspot for emerging talent.
Arsenal transfer news
It remains to be seen the extent to which Dragomir will be involved in the first team, with Arsene Wenger usually allowing young special players to train with the senior stars on a regular basis.
Jack Wilshere, Kieran Gibbs and Hector Bellerin have all made the same journey to the first team and it will be interesting to see what is planned for Dragomir.
