Wellington Silva is only now finally eligible to play in England, despite officially signing for Arsenal a number of years ago. Work permit issues prevented him from making the move earlier, but he’s now confirmed a move to Championship side Bolton.

The Brazilian winger claimed he was thankful, because “finally [he would] get to play the Premier League”. Someone really should tell him that he’s dropping down a league to play in the Championship.

It’s far too much to ask for Silva to experience the same meteoric rise as Wilshere, but hopefully he’ll return to the Emirates an improved player capable of battling for a squad spot.
