Arsenal’s reported target Alexandre Lacazette has dropped a cryptic hint on Twitter after favouriting a tweet which was reporting on his potential move to us.
During the transfer period, all the minute details on social media are meticulously analysed and on most occasions, fans are wide of the mark.
However, we have seen in previous cases where players drop hints on their social media pages to inform the public that a move may be imminent.
According to The Telegraph, we have had scouts watch the 24-year-old on numerous occasions last season as he took Ligue 1 by storm, scoring 27 league goals in the process.
This, coupled with the recent tweet from the European agent Muzzi Ozcan claiming that we’re close to concluding the ‘transfer of the season’, has many fans desperate to find out whether Lacazette could be that mystery star.
Arsenal will be making the transfer of the season ! The deal isn’t to far from being complete ! Will update in the coming days

Signing Lacazette would be rather unusual given Arsene Wenger’s previous actions in the transfer market. The boss has signed players who were ‘flavour of the month’ over the years and has had his fingers burnt.
The likes of Andrey Arshavin, Marouane Chamakh and Gervinho all came off the back of strong seasons – with the latter two starring in Ligue 1 – but they couldn’t replicate that in the Premier League.
Lacazette’s goal record shouldn’t be sniffed at, but departing with the financial package it would take to bring the Lyon forward to the Emirates Stadium is something Wenger may not be prepared to do.
Lacazette favourited the tweet in the image below and it also happens to be the only tweet he has favourited. Make of it what you will.
