Arsenal starlet Serge Gnabry has been named in Germany’s U21 provisional squad ahead of the European Championships this summer after recovering from a long-term injury which hampered him for over 12 months.
Gnabry broke into the first team at the start of last season, giving us some much-needed width and pace at a time when we were suffering from an injury crisis in the wide positions.
Theo Walcott, Lukas Podolski and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were all suffering from long-term injuries allowing Gnarby to burst onto the scene, netting against Swansea City for his first Premier League goal.
The German wizard was always earmarked as the next academy product to make waves in the first team, but while suffering on the sidelines, his former youth teammate Hector Bellerin has made the journey ahead of him.
A season-long loan to a Premier League club could hugely benefit Gnabry; a player with serious power, pace and trickery to thrive in this league.
