Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal has arguably been our most improved player this term which has been further illustrated by the fact that he was the most accurate passer in this year’s Champions League, the Metro reports.
Monreal tops Real Madrid duo Asier Illarramendi and Toni Kroos although the Spaniard has played fewer minutes than a number of players on the list.
Having said that, Monreal’s importance to our side is backed up by this stat and it’s an area of the game Kieran Gibbs must improve.

Arsenal transfer rumours
The former Malaga man has certainly got the nod from Arsene Wenger over the past few months due to his ability to keep our attacks flowing when in possession of the ball.

Monreal always seems to make the right choice and very rarely passes back to the defenders when under pressure, something Gibbs is continuously guilty of.
The positioning of our No.18 is also consistently spot on. Think of how many times Monreal recovers the ball to keep the pressure on the opposition’s defence on the left hand-side.
He has become a complete full-back over the past few months and long may it continue.
