David Beckham took his son Romeo to the FA Cup final on Saturday and the young academy product wore an Arsenal jersey donning the name of Wojciech Szczesny on the back.
As we demolished Aston Villa 4-0 at Wembley, Romeo had the best seat in the house witnessing the team make history in the oldest cup competition in the world.
Romeo is part of our academy at Hale End with Beckham clearly identifying our infrastructure as one of the best in the country and one his boys can develop in.

At Wembley, however, there can be no dispute as to who is Romeo’s favourite player in our first team squad with the 12-year-old taking a liking to Szczesny.
It’s not a regular occurrence to see a player support a goalkeeper in a squad filled with top-class international talent – especially our goalkeepers.
Szczesny did have a good game against Aston Villa in all fairness, as his tactic of coming for every diagonal ball aimed at Christain Benteke nullified the Belgian.
