Mesut Özil has been inspiring us with his performances recently, having assisted in all of his last six Premier League matches. The German is looking to inspire the fans with his words as well though, taking to social media following our 1-1 draw with Tottenham in the North London Derby.
We admittedly struggled against Spurs this past Sunday afternoon, but Özil was one of the standout performers. He was a constant attacking threat and created a number of chances – including the far post cross for Kieran Gibbs’ equaliser.
He’s clearly disappointed not to have continued our fine run in the Premier League, but insists we’ll be back after the international break ready to go again.
He’s certainly right when he says it’s a shame we didn’t get all three points against Tottenham, but it’s far from the end of the world. We’ve had a tough run of fixtures recently, and injuries have made things incredibly difficult.
Arsenal transfer news
Hopefully the players can get a little bit of rest during the international break, and come back rejuvenated and ready for a far easier (by Premier League standards) run of fixtures.
