A West Ham United fan went to the extreme lengths of tattooing on his body after the east London side defeated us 2-0 in what was a shock result considering the expectation surrounding our team heading into the game, The Evening Standard reports.
After making a promise on Twitter that he would indeed get a tattoo of the scoreline should West Ham achieve a feat they last accomplished in 2007, the man, who the report names as ‘Waller’, stayed true to his word and headed for the tattoo parlour after the game.
West Ham put in a dominant performance in Slaven Bilic’s first league game, combining all the qualities a team needs to succeed in the Premier League.
The notion that it is more difficult for a team from London to win the Premier League due to the number of derbies that exist was given an added level of credibility judging by Sunday’s result.
