We’ve all known for a while that Tomas Rosicky would be leaving the club at the end of the season, with the veteran finding himself perennially on the bench due to either injury or the competition ahead of him. Jack Wilshere has now come out with an emotional farewell to his long-term Arsenal teammate, wishing him well in his future endeavours.
The 24-year-old took to Instagram to send the Czech international his message, insisting that he was going to miss his friend and mentor.
Tomas Rosicky is apparently fully fit again after another bout of nasty injuries, and could feature in his final game ever at Arsenal this weekend. The last game of the season is against Aston Villa, and if we’re winning comfortably late on in the game you’d expect Arsene Wenger to give the 35-year-old at least a small cameo role in the final minutes.
We’ve barely seen Rosicky at all over the last few seasons, so it would be a huge shame for his Arsenal career to end without him playing at least one more game. It would certainly be an emotional goodbye if he were to feature this weekend, as despite his small role at Arsenal recently, he’s been part of some truly momentous occasions and scored some massively important goals – including a few bangers against Tottenham.

Hopefully we get to see Rosicky play some part against Aston Villa this weekend, so the players and fans can say a proper goodbye. Wilshere’s emotional message may suggest we’ve seen the last of the experienced midfielder though, which would be a massive shame.
