One young Arsenal fan must be rather confident regarding our chances of prising Karim Benzema away from Real Madrid, with the Gooner having the Frenchman’s name and potential number printed on the back of the new home shirt, The Evening Standard reports.
A top-class striker seems to be the missing piece in our squad at the moment, with the strength in depth we currently possess demonstrated during the Emirates Cup weekend.
According to previous reports, Benzema is Wenger’s top target (via El Confidencial) for the remainder of the summer and his potential arrival will certainly catapult us into potential title winners.
However, the chances of his arrival seem rather slim after his agent claimed that the former Lyon man will “1,000%” remain at the Bernabeu next season, as The Evening Standard suggests.
