Alexis Sanchez can carry Arsenal to the Premier League title this season, according to Owen Hargreaves, who described the Chilean’s performance against West Ham as “incredible.”
Sanchez grabbed a sensational hat-trick at the London Stadium to take his tally to the season to 13 as the Gunners romped to victory.
The result leaves Arsenal just three points behind leaders Chelsea and Hargreaves feels Sanchez can win the title for the Gunners in the same way an in-form Eden Hazard helped Chelsea to the title in 2014-15.
“I thought he was incredible, honestly,” he said via Standard Sport.
“Eden Hazard carried Chelsea to the title a couple of season ago; with the way [Sanchez] played, he could carry Arsenal to the title.
“There are better teams, I think Liverpool and Chelsea, but the way he played as an individual is one of the best performances that I’ve seen in a long time.”

Rio Ferdinand backed his former team-mate by also hailing Sanchez’s contribution.
“He’s definitely one of [the best players in the PL],” he added.
“I think Hazard takes some beating when they’re all on song, but this guy, he’s carrying this team.
“He’s the guy that is the inspiration. [In] defining moments of games, he’s taking the opportunities.”
Sanchez is certainly the team’s talisman, he has 16 goals and six assists in his last 22 games according to Opta, and is simply unstoppable on current form.
