Arsenal v West Ham
Barclays Premier League
Kick off: April 15, 2014 7.45 PM BST
It’s become a common theme between Arsenal and West Ham. The Hammers take a bittersweet lead only for the Gunners to claim all three points for the fourth consecutive time between the sides.
Matt Jarvis handed the visitors the lead after a goal mouth scramble much to the frustration of the under-fire Arsene Wenger. His side responded however just before halftime with a well taken strike from the largely anonymous Lukas Podolski. The German international really showing what he can do when given half a chance.
Olivier Giroud then handed the Gunners the lead after a perfect lobbed pass by Tommy Vermaelen, the Frenchman controlling the ball perfectly before lashing home and making amends for his earlier one on one miss.
Podolski completed the scoring with another fine strike, his fourth goal against the Hammers in their last three meetings and surprisingly played the full 90 minutes. Just the fourth time he’s done so in his Premier League career with Arsenal.

A much improved attacking performance from the Gunners who looked a lot more lively especially in the second half, and great to see Cazorla looking like his old self. Well done to ol’ Kimmy Kallstrom on his full debut who did well considering his limited match practice since his arrival.
