Arsenal v Tottenham
Kick off: January, 2014 5:15 PM BST
Nothing gives a Gooner more pleasure than Arsenal beating Spurs.
A menacing strike from Santi Cazorla after a sumptuous through ball from the brilliant Serge Gnabry handed the Gunners a deserved lead. Tomas Rosicky cemented progression to the next round of the FA Cup after demonstrating his tenacity, dispossessing Danny Rose on halfway and chipping over Lloris in style.
Bradley Cooper (a.k.a Soldado) did his best for the Spuds as did Adebayor (a.k.a Ade-bay-c**t) but the duo failed to muster any more than one shot on target with Vermaelen, Koscielny and Mertesacker all contributing to a clean sheet, not to mention solid outings for Bacary Sagna and Nacho Monreal on their respective flanks.
Special mention must go to Lukasz Fabianski for a brilliant save to deny Eriksen early on, the tie could have been completely different if the former Ajax starlet was able nudge the Spuds into the lead.
- Arsenal must outmanoeuvre Galatasaray to win race for £2m ‘bargain’ transfer
- Arsenal reportedly set to sign free agent after impressive trial
- Arsenal have ‘concrete interest’ in signing Bayern Munich II star
Overall a dominating performance from the Arsenal to see off our dirty rivals. Feast your eyes on this weekend’s Match Report Infographic:
