Arsenal v Newcastle United
Barclays Premier League
Kick off: April 28, 2014 8.00 PM BST
Happy St Totteringham’s Day Gooners! For the 19th consecutive season Arsenal finish above rivals Spurs and can secure entry into next season’s Champions League qualification play-offs with a win next weekend.
Arsenal cruised to a relatively straight forward win over Newcastle with two second half goals from Laurent Koscielny and Mesut Ozil, before Olivier Giroud completed the 3-0 scoreline midway through the second half.
Another solid defensive display from the Gunners, especially from French centreback Koscielny who received our man of the match in the player ratings. However Ozil received plenty of plaudits for his performance, repaying the favour for an earlier setup from Giroud by crossing superbly for the striker to nod home beyond a helpless Krul.
Arsenal’s German superstar completed an impressive 94% of his passes, making six key passes in the process. Quite a number for an attacking midfielder who has to take risks to create chances.

It seems the Gunners are determined to end the season on a high after a difficult past couple of months. Next up West Brom.
