Santi Cazorla looks set to miss a sizeable chunk of the campaign, and getting him back before the end of the season at this point seems like a bonus (via The Guardian).
He’s sent a positive message to Arsenal fans in the wake of his injury however, insisting that he’ll come back stronger than ever.
The Spaniard took to Twitter to deliver his message, thanking the fans for their support at the same time.

The midfielder has been excellent in his new deeper role this season, and has thrived alongside Francis Coquelin. He hasn’t looked as effective alongside the likes of Mathieu Flamini or Mikel Arteta though, as we’ve been defensively exposed far too often.

Hopefully when he returns we’ll also have Coquelin available once again too, and the pair can renew their fruitful partnership in front of the back four.
Aaron Ramsey did a decent job centrally against Sunderland, grabbing himself a goal and an assist. He is far too attack-minded though, and with Flamini struggling to get around the pitch the way he used to we struggled with the Black Cats’ counters; imagine how we would have been against a more competent team?

Fingers crossed we get the 30-year-old back before the end of the season, and the initial analysis of his injury isn’t too far off. Come back soon Santi!
