Sensational summer signing Alexis Sanchez is in the Spanish news at the moment, with Mundo Deportivo incredibly reporting that he is looking to leave the club after a single season.

The Spanish publication bizarrely claims that Sanchez is unhappy at being usurped by Santi Cazorla, with the diminutive midfielder receiving a huge amount of praise for his recent performances.
The Chilean was in blistering form following his £32m move to Arsenal this past summer, and picked up the Vitality Player of the Month award three times in a row. The combination of injuries and a slight dip in form – by his lofty standards rather than anyone else’s – has seen him slip ever so slightly from the limelight however, with Cazorla pipping him to the award in December and January.
In Spain this apparently translates to the 26-year-old planning his exit strategy, a conclusion that any sane person would naturally come to.

We as a club are often targeted by the media, and if it isn’t one thing, it’s the other.
Earlier in the season the Mirror claimed we were at risk of losing Sanchez, and that the rest of the team needed to show drastic improvement to get on his level.
Now when other players arguably have stepped up to match, and even occasionally better, his performances, we are going to lose him anyway? Make up your minds people, do we need to be playing better or worse if we want to keep the industrious forward at the Emirates?
