According to ESPN, Arsenal’s fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur could be eying a season-long ground share of Emirates Stadium while they finish their construction of a new 56,250-seat stadium close to White Hart Lane.
Due to several issues the club have had to revise their construction programme which now forces the north London outfit to move away from the Lane for the 2017-18 season.
Tottenham now have confirmed they need to consider a ground share, with the likes of MK Dons’ Stadium:MK, West Ham’s eventual Olympic Stadium, and Wembley sounded out as potential options. And strangely Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal have reportedly declined to comment.
There is no doubt the Spuds fans will find it as degrading as we would. Having to come crawling to our door step to play a season at our great fortress? Surely it’s the Spurs worst nightmare.
