As we prepare for the second half of the season, Islington County Council have gotten slightly ahead of themselves by announcing the date of Arsenal’s open-top bus victory parade to celebrate the Gunners winning the Premier League (via the Daily Mirror).
We can all agree it would be a dream come true after 12 years without winning the coveted trophy, however it’s certainly too early days to be jinxing ourselves despite leading the table heading into 2016.
The person behind the Twitter account over at the Islington County Council, where Arsenal football club is based, obviously failed to adhere to the unwritten rule of not tempting fate. They replied to a prank tweet from a supposed Arsenal supporter who asked, “what day will the victory parade will be held after Arsenal wins the Premier League”?
Here is the classic reply from the Council:
- Wolves star slams Arsenal players – “It was like they won the league”
- [Team news] Wolves vs Arsenal predicted line up: Key stars return
- RB Leipzig insist top Arsenal summer target WON’T be sold
The tweet was quickly deleted and an apology issued for the error (via the Mirror).
@arsenalnegative Apologies for the error, there is no information about parade dates at this moment in time.

Lets not tempt fate this early please Gooners, even with Ozil in the form of his life. Still a long road ahead.
