Jack Wilshere has spent much of this season injured, and admits that he may find it difficult to get back into the starting XI when he eventually makes his return.

The 23-year-old has been sidelined since November, when Manchester United’s Paddy McNair took him out with a nasty challenge.
He is back in full training however, and has even been involved in our last two Under-21 games.
The England international has returned to fitness, and will hope to feature regularly before the end of the season. He will have to prove himself in training though, as he himself admits that there is a huge amount of quality competition for his position.
“When I first broke in there was Cesc Fabregas, there was [Abou] Diaby, Denilson and Alex Song,” he told Arsenal player.

“We’ve always had real quality in that position but now I’d say there are more of my style of players fighting for that position. You can name four or five attacking midfielders who are world-class.”
With Mesut Özil and Santi Cazorla performing the way they are at the moment, it’s hard to see Wilshere slotting straight back into the team. Add Aaron Ramsey into the equation, and it’s difficult to see where the young Gunner is going to fit in.
Injuries have hampered his development, and he is yet to grow into the player everyone expected him to. He is definitely a top quality midfielder, but if he wants to break back into the side then he may need to do significantly more.
