Jack Wilshere has spoken about his future and seems uncertain about what it may hold. Wilshere is on loan at Bournemouth but said that he may have to consider his options when he returns to the Emirates next summer (via The Telegraph).
Arsenal are spoilt for choice in the centre of midfield right now with Granit Xhaka, Francis Coquelin, Santi Cazorla, Mohamed Elneny and Aaron Ramsey but they will joined by another player next summer.
Jack Wilshere’s season-long loan at Bournemouth expires in just a few months and it was expected that not only would the Englishman return to the Arsenal squad, but that he would be a part of the team for years to come. Now that is in doubt and it seems that the player is considering his options.
“Of course I love Arsenal, but if there comes a time when I have to leave, then I have to leave,” Wilshere told The Independent.
“If I go back and I’m still not playing then of course I will have to think about things but at the moment I’m concentrating on Bournemouth.
“I want to put myself in a position where I go back next year and I’m a better player and I can play, I’m fitter and I have proved to people I can play week-in and week-out and I’m ready for the challenge.

“It was a tough decision for me to go out on loan. I could have stayed at Arsenal, been the player that comes on now and again and starts the odd game here and there. But I wanted to prove (things) to people.
“When it comes to next year, I think I’ll have that experience and also have said to people that I’ve made big decisions when it comes to my career and when it comes I’ll have to make another decision.”
It’s a difficult situation for both club and player. Jack Wilshere has so far impressed at times for his new club but with the wealth of options in midfield currently at Arsenal, his future place in the team is far from assured. Hopefully Wilshere can step it up in the coming months and show the quality that so many Arsenal fans know he possesses.
