Porto striker Jackson Martinez has revealed that he’s awaiting an offer from Arsenal as his future is put on hold until after the Copa America, the Express reports.
Martinez had been involved in a tug of war between AC Milan and Atletico Madrid (via the Daily Mail); however, the Express suggests that Milan have turned their attentions to Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani.
Whether or not Atletico Madrid still hold an interest remains to be seen, especially with their forward Mario Mandzukic set to sign for Champions League runners-up Juventus (via The Guardian).
Arsenal transfer news
“It’s a big club in one of the best leagues in the world,” Martinez was quoted as saying in the Express.
“We have to see if an offer will become a reality or not.

“The day we’ll know where my future goes is near. I still haven’t decided, as I’m focused on the Copa America right now.”
Martinez’s constant mentioning of Arsenal seems kind of desperate given that there have been no substantial links regarding our interest in him.
One gets the feeling that if Wenger is to add a striker to our squad this summer, he must be convinced that the player is of top quality and can add significant strength to our squad.
As the report suggests, Martinez has a £25million release clause in his contract which would make any deal pretty straight-forward.
If the Porto man is correct and his future will be sorted out after the Copa America, we may not have to wait long considering that Colombia have a tough game against Argentina in the quarter-final on Friday.
