Paris Saint-Germain new boy Julian Draxler is already trying to recruit his fellow compatriots for the Ligue 1 outfit, expressing his wish for fellow Germany international Mesut Ozil to join him in Paris.
The former Wolfsburg ace moved to PSG this January and has hit the ground running after a difficult end to his time in Germany.
The attacker excelled at the Euro’s with Die Mannschaft, and has always flirted with the prospect of joining Arsenal over the years. A move never came to fruition, but Draxler still holds hopes he could be united with compatriot Ozil at club level – by the No10 joining him in Paris.
“There is one fellow Germany international I would like to see here: Mesut Ozil,” Draxler told BeIN Sports France
Ozil’s future is well up in the air this summer especially with Barcelona reportedly expressing interest as well – hardly surprising considering he is one of the most valuable midfielders in world football.

Just one year will be left on his deal come the end of the season, and considering Arsenal have failed to sustain anything that resembles a title challenge yet again, you have to worry links with Barcelona or PSG will make it even more difficult to keep Mesut Ozil this summer.
A move to PSG is something that does seem plausible, a top club with Champions League ambitions, he’ll play every week. At Barcelona he will struggle with the rigidity and competition. Ozil is a player who thrives with confidence and flexibility in his role. Although there is no concrete interest from PSG, it’s only a matter of time.
A challenging few months lay ahead.
