The majority of fans love following the transfer news throughout the summer, trying to work out who their club will sign and who will be heading for the exit. We do see our fair share of ridiculous rumours circulating however, with the latest in a long line linking Mesut Özil with a move to Serie A giants Juventus, according to Italian publication Tutto Sport.
The Italian side enjoyed an excellent season, reaching the Champions League final as well as winning Serie A. They have already seen a few exits this summer, but have been strengthening hugely as well.
After a difficult period for the club, Juventus are trying to get back among the big boys of Europe. A number of big name signings are helping them do so, and Özil is apparently the latest name on their list.
It’s hard to see there being any chance of this one happening though, especially given the €40m (via Euro Sport) price tag being touted.
Özil didn’t enjoy the best first season at the club, but we have really started to see the best of him recently. He looked like a changed man following his return from injury last season, and was arguably one of our best players in 2015.

He seems happy, and there doesn’t seem to be any reason for him to leave. It also seems hard to believe Arsene Wenger would possibly want to sell our record £42.5m (via The Guardian) signing for a loss when the German World Cup winner is finally starting to display the form he showed while at Real Madrid.
