Juventus have slapped a £24m price tag on the head of Simone Zaza, looking to ward off the advances of Arsenal and Chelsea, according to Italian publication Tuttosport (via talkSPORT).
We’ve been linked with a move for the striker in the past, but a deal was never agreed. The report suggests he could be on the move this summer though, provided somebody meets the £24m being touted.
The 24-year-old has struggled for game time this season, starting just four games in Serie A – with 11 appearances off the bench. He’s scored four times in that time, as well as bagging two goals in three appearances in the Coppa Italia.
We’re also being heavily linked with his teammate Alvaro Morata (via the Mirror), but the Serie A champions will be keen to make sure they don’t lose both.
Zaza has struggled for game time behind Morata, Paulo Dybala, and even Mario Mandzukic this season, which would understandably have him considering his future. If Morata is headed towards the exit then Zaza could reconsider things, but at the moment you wouldn’t blame him for seeking a move elsewhere.
That said though, is he really the quality we require? We’ve already got the likes of Olivier Giroud, Danny Welbeck, and Theo Walcott at the club, who have been sharing the striking role this season. We need a top quality, world class forward to take us to the next level, and Zaza certainly isn’t that.

Arsenal transfer news
Arsene Wenger really needs to be aiming higher, and looking to bring a proven striker to the Emirates rather than settling for another team’s fourth choice forward.
