Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema has finally spoken out following a summer of speculation after the Frenchman started his first game for the Spanish giants this season, Real Madrid’s official website reports.
Benzema found the net in a 5-0 win against Real Betis after recovering from a thigh injury, with Rafa Benitez recording his first win as Real Madrid boss and banishing any doubt after what was a drab draw at Sporting Gijon on the opening day.
For Benzema, he is in no doubt as to where his focus lies and he referenced the relationship he has with Benitez as a source of motivation for him.

“I feel good, I’m 100% confident and I want to help the team to win trophies,” Benzema was quoted as saying.
“I have confidence in the coach and he has confidence in me.”

Rather ironically, Benzema’s relationship with Benitez was initially what caused rumours of a potential exit with Spanish publication El Confidencial claiming that the former Liverpool boss was planning for life without the striker.
However, after Benzema’s tweet last week in which he put an end to speculation about his future, his latest quotes have basically put a nail in the coffin regarding any move.
