According to widespread reports, Arsenal are one step closer to securing Sweden midfielder Kim Källström on a loan deal with the news that he has passed a medical at the Emirates.
We can expect to see an announcement on the club’s website soon once the paperwork has been completed, with the Spartak Moscow midfielder set to join the Gunners for the remainder of the season on loan.
The 31 year old Swede will provide more depth in midfield with the loss of Aaron Ramsey for another 6 weeks after a recent set back, midfield reinforcements are looking as vital as a back up in the striking department at the moment. While not the ‘top, top, top’ player many will be hoping for, his experience could be a vital addition for us in this year’s title push.
We saw the short term impact the likes of Yossi Benayoun added during his loan from Chelsea, Källström could have a similar impact for the Gunners this season.
The midfielder, who has over 100 caps for Sweden, should be announced as an Arsenal player soon. Welcome Kim.
