Arsenal’s transfer deadline day loan signing Kim Kallstrom has yet to make his debut thanks to a back injury he sustained prior to his late switch to north London, but should be in the squad that travels to White Hart Lane.
The Gunners midfield is slowly depleting game by game, with Mesut Ozil the latest casualty to join the likes of Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere on the treatment table.
The injury to Arsenal’s Welshman is what prompted Wenger to bring in yet another central midfielder in January, and it seems he may have a real part to play this season with Ramsey set for another two weeks on the sidelines.
Wenger revealed at the pre-match press conference that Kallstrom is fit and could be involved in this Sunday’s North London derby:
He’s back in the squad and available for selection.
As he only recently joined in on full training, it appears highly likely ol’ Kimmy will not be involved from the off but could make his debut from the bench.
Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini, Tomas Rosicky and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will remain ahead of Kallstrom in the pecking order, but it will be interesting to see what the experienced Swede can offer.
Imagine if he came on late on and scored a winner against the Spuds?
