Arsenal welcome Liverpool to the Emirates Stadium this evening, hoping for some revenge after the 4-0 defeat earlier in the season.
It’s a huge match at the Emirates for both teams. Arsenal welcome Liverpool to North London for a Friday night tie which effectively kicks off the festive season.
The Gunners will be out for revenge for the 4-0 defeat earlier in the season and this is how we think Arsene Wenger will line up his team:
GK) Petr Cech
- How will Arsenal line up vs West Ham – Two major changes expected
- Mikel Arteta makes U-turn on long-term Arsenal star – will stay at club
- Revealed: Five-time European champions made ‘concrete offer’ for Aubameyang
RB) Hector Bellerin
He started at left wing-back the last time these two teams met but we think he will be back in his favoured position.
RCB) Laurent Koscielny
LCB) Shkodran Mustafi
We think Shkodran Mustafi will start for the Gunners after recovering from injury.
LB) Nacho Monreal
This means that Nacho Monreal could be pushed out to left-back from the start.
RCM) Granit Xhaka
LCM) Jack Wilshere
Jack Wilshere should start in the centre of midfield for the Gunners.
RAM) Alex Iwobi
Alex Iwobi will presumably start on the right alongside the likes of Ozil and Sanchez.
CAM) Mesut Ozil
LAM) Alexis Sanchez
Alexis Sanchez will play despite the transfer rumours linking him with a move away from the Emirates this week.
ST) Alexandre Lacazette
He didn’t start the last time these two sides met but we don’t think Arsene Wenger will make the same mistake.
