New club-record signing Alexandre Lacazette has been included in Arsenal’s squad for their trip to Australia and China.
The former Lyon striker boarded the plane to Sydney, although there were a number of other notable omissions.
Neither Alexis Sanchez nor Hector Bellerin are in the squad, as they are handed extended rest time following their international commitments this summer. Shkodran Mustafi, Rob Holding and Calum Chambers are also missing for the same reason.
There is also no room for Kieran Gibbs, Mathieu Debuchy, Carl Jenkinson, Lucas Perez, or Wojciech Szczesny, with speculation all five players could exit the Emirates this summer.
Indeed Szczesny is again being linked with a move to Juventus, in many of today’s tabloids.
Arsenal’s other summer signing Sead Kolasinac, also travels as does Olivier Giroud, despite speculation linking him with a move away.
