Alexandre Lacazette has revealed that he has been hugely impressed with Reiss Nelson as well as another Arsenal youngster, Eddie Nketiah (via Arsenal.com).
One of the most pleasing things about last Thursday’s 3-1 victory over FC Koln was the squad which Arsene Wenger elected to play.
A lot of players recovering from injuries got time on the pitch like Alexis Sanchez and Jack Wilshere but it was the presence of the youth players which was particularly pleasing.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles starred in midfield in the second-half, as did 17-year-old Reiss Nelson who came on as a substitute. Now, Arsenal’s record signing Alexandre Lacazette has revealed what he thinks of Nelson as a player.
“I think he’s very good,” Lacazette told Arsenal Player.

“I believe he will be a top player for the club.
“He already impressed me during pre-season and it’s great to see what he’s doing for the under-23s.
“His stats are very good and he’s performing well.”
Lacazette also singled out Eddie Nketiah as a player who he has been impressed with during his brief spell at Arsenal.
It’s good to see that the younger players are catching the attention of the more experienced members of the squad. It’s clear to see that Reiss Nelson is a hugely talented player who could one day have a major impact on the Arsenal first-team if he is managed well. Let’s hope the youngster can get more game time in the weeks and months to follow.
