Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny is reportedly a doubt for the Gunners’ Champions League game with Galatasaray on Wednesday, according to reports in Goal.com.
The 29 year old played the full game during the North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur, but it seems that he aggravated a long-standing Achilles injury.
The French international has become a reliable option at the back for the Gunners over the past few seasons and it would be a huge blow if he has really aggravated the problem and it rules him out for an extended period.
The North London club are already on life support in defence with Mathieu Debuchy and Nacho Monreal out injured and with this latest injury the only option Wenger has is to play Calum Chambers alongside Per Mertesacker and start Hector Bellerin at right-back.
The Gunners injury record never ceases to amaze me and it looks like the squad is being stretched to it’s limits at just the wrong time as we head into two crucial games against Galatasaray and Chelsea with a growing injury list that includes Wilshere, Ramsey, Arteta, Walcott, Giroud and Debuchy.
