Arsenal’s Bernd Leno has insisted that his side needs to start winning more matches away from home in order to reach the top four of the Premier League this season (via Arsenal.com).
It was a disappointing day for Arsenal on Sunday as the Gunners went down 3-1 away at the Etihad Stadium.
It wasn’t the first time the Gunners have lost an away match to a top-six Premier League side, something which goalkeeper Bernd Leno acknowledged after the game.
“We win many games at home, but I think to go into the top four again we need more away wins,” Leno said after the 3-1 defeat.
“I think the game started very badly, with a goal. And it ended with a goal for Man City and I think in the first half we played very good and we conceded two easy goals.
“In the second half, we didn’t have the power to play against them because they had the ball all the time and we were running. We fought until the end but today, Manchester City did a very good job.”
