Chuba Akpom has looked close to breaking into the Arsenal first team for some time now, but is yet to fully take advantage of the limited opportunities he has been given so far.
If something doesn’t change soon then we may never get to see the 19-year-old turning out at the Emirates with regularity however, as Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is keen on bringing him to Anfield, according to the Daily Star.

Our promising young striker is approaching the end of his current Arsenal contract, and will be a free agent this summer. He has already had a number of pre-contract offers from overseas, but is now also attracting the interest of some of our Premier League rivals.
Manchester City, Everton, and North London Rivals Tottenham are also reportedly interested, but the Merseyside club are currently leading the pack.

Having been at the club since he was six, it would be fantastic to see Akpom sign a new deal and stay with us. He is somewhat down the pecking order at the Emirates however, so we may find it difficult to convince him to stay.
Olivier Giroud, Danny Welbeck, Alexis Sanchez, and arguably Theo Walcott are all in front of the England Under-20s international, and that is despite Yaya Sanogo and Lukas Podolski leaving the club on loan this month.
It would be a shame to see him go, but if we can’t give him regular first team football over the next five months then we are likely to see him moving on.
