The pacey forward has struggled for first team football since returning from a lengthy spell on the sidelines, and with just over a year left on his current deal, could potentially leave the club this summer if we can’t convince him to extend.
Liverpool are planning for life after Raheem Sterling, with the young star a reported target for both Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. Walcott has been identified as the man to replace him, and looks to be Brendan Rodgers’ top target this summer.
The 26-year-old is looking for a rise on his current £100,000 per week deal, despite spending much of his time in the doctor’s office since his last extension in 2013.

We are apparently unwilling to offer him the increase he wants, which could see him evaluate his options come the end of the season.
It’s highly likely that this is all just speculation, and that Arsene Wenger is merely reintegrating the England international slowly after his long term injury.
Walcott is not the kind of player who bleeds Arsenal however, and I can see him looking elsewhere this summer if he feels his first team chances at the Emirates are being threatened.
