JET was a promising Arsenal youth star, but it quickly became apparent that he wouldn’t make the grade at the Emirates. He was farmed out on loan a few times, but eventually made a permanent switch to Ipswich in 2011. From there he moved to Bristol City, and after running down his contract he has agreed a deal to join QPR (via Sky Sports).
He enjoyed a decent last season with the League 1 side, and helped them gain promotion to the Championship. The 24-year-old will be hoping to do the same for QPR, who are looking to get straight back into the Premier League after being relegated.
It’s always nice to see former Arsenal youth prospects doing well, so hopefully Emmanuel-Thomas can find his feet in the Champions with Chris Ramsey’s side.
