Lucas Perez wants to leave Arsenal this summer and the club are already aware of his intentions, claims the forward’s agent Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle.
The 28-year-old has spoken out about his frustration already this season and a summer exit now looks fairly inevitable due to a lack of playing time.
Manager Arsene Wenger has admitted he feels sorry for Perez and that he deserves more game time with his last appearance coming back in March in the FA Cup win over Lincoln.
Lovelle has now reiterated Perez’s desire to leave with the forward having already been linked with a return to Spain with former club Deportivo and Sevilla both believed to be interested.
“The idea is to be able to play for another club,” Lovelle said via Sky Sports. “We want to leave and Arsenal already know. Do you know anyone who is happy but has no opportunities?”
It looks fairly certain that Perez will leave this summer after just one season and while it will be a huge shame to see him go it’s pretty understandable given his lack of minutes.
