Despite a seemingly less than amicable exit this past January, Lukas Podolski is hoping to reignite his Arsenal career at the end of the season, according to ESPN.

The on loan Arsenal star is currently plying his trade in Serie A with Inter Milan, but after a promising start has already found himself out in the cold somewhat.
He was left out of Roberto Mancini’s European squad for the remainder of their Europa League campaign, and has rarely featured domestically either.
The 29-year-old left the Emirates specifically to get more first team football, so he is no doubt furious that he has traded one bench for another.

He hasn’t closed the door on Arsenal however, and has attempted to mend some bridges with his latest comments.
“As thing stand now, I will return to London in the summer,” he said.
“There will be talks in March or April because the season ends in May.
“I had a great time in London, even though the last half-year wasn’t satisfying from a sporting perspective. But it’s a fact that I never had problems there neither with the club, nor with Arsene Wenger, or even the fans. All I bemoaned was that once the move was sealed there were no farewell words from the club.
“But in spite of that I had two-and-a-half nice years, from a sporting and from a personal perspective. I am proud to have ended Arsenal’s trophy drought with my goals in the FA Cup and to have won this trophy as a German in England.”
The World Cup winner was always a fan favourite at the club, but he never quite offered enough consistency to make him a mainstay in the starting XI.
His finishing was second to none, and we loved his ability to change a game with one of his trademark hammer strikes. They weren’t enough to make up for the fact that he would regularly go missing on the field however, and unless we see a huge change in the German it’s difficult to see how he will fit into our current side.
