Arsenal have enjoyed an excellent Premier League season so far, and it could get better this weekend. Manchester City and Manchester United have a number of key injuries at the moment, and this round of fixtures could be an excellent opportunity for us to take control of the English top flight.
We obviously have plenty of injuries ourselves, and we’ll be far from putting out a full strength squad against West Bromwich Albion. Our game looks comparatively winnable when you look at Manchester City’s clash with Liverpool and Manchester United’s absentees for their trip to Watford.
Manchester City started the season superbly, but have not looked unbeatable by any stretch. They’ll be without some key players against Liverpool this weekend, and while Jurgen Klopp has plenty of injuries of his own, it should be a tight match.
Unfortunately, Manuel Pellegrini claims Sergio Aguero is set to return, but he’s likely to be lacking match fitness (via the Daily Mail). The same report claims they’ll be without David Silva, Samir Nasri, Vincent Kompany, and Wilfried Bony though, which means their forward options are slightly more limited.
Manchester United have far fewer injuries, but much in the same way we are without a host of right sided midfielders, they look set to be without a striker. Both Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial are unavailable following international duty, while Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini, and Anthonio Valencia are also out (via the Daily Mail).
Watford have proved remarkably hard to break down this season, while United have struggled to create opportunities and score goals. This game has 0-0 written all over it, and it seems likely that Louis van Gaal’s side will drop points.

It’s Liverpool we need to get a result though, and if we get the win over West Brom then we could see ourselves top of the table by the end of the weekend.
