Olivier Giroud has been in fine goalscoring form recently, and has now become the only player in history to score against Bayern Munich and Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer in three consecutive games, as reported by the Metro.
The French forward netted the first goal in his side’s 2-0 win over Germany this past Friday night, with his first time finish beating the shot-stopper after a fantastic assist from Manchester United’s Anthony Martial.
Giroud’s international goal comes after two games against Bayern Munich, and in both he was the scorer of Arsenal’s first goals. His all important headed effort gave us the lead in the first leg, while his acrobatic finish in the second proved to be nothing more than a consolation.
Regardless, Giroud is still the holder of an impressive record, despite many Arsenal fans feeling he’s nowhere near good enough to be playing for the club.
Few strikers get the better of Manuel Neuer – a player widely regarded as the best goalkeeeper in the game – and even fewer score against him with regularity.

Our 1-1 draw against Tottenham unfortunately saw the forward firing blanks, but hopefully he’s back in goalscoring mood when he returns for our clash with West Bromwich Albion.
