A blow for Arsenal with it now seemingly official that there won’t be a return loan or transfer of Norwegian star midfielder Martin Odegaard for next season, despite much talk that the 22-year-old would return.
Martin Odegaard has been quoted via an interview with Norwegian media TV 2 in the Metro all-but confirming he won’t be leaving Madrid again this summer, with no mention of Arsenal:
“Real Madrid have been clear that they would like me back.”
“So then it will be time to go there when the training starts up again.”
“Of course it has always been a dream to play there. I have been in the club for over six years now, and that has always been the goal.”
Martin Odegaard scored two goals for the Gunners in 20 appearances, ultimately his inclusion from the January transfer window wasn’t enough to secure European football for the forthcoming season.
