Kick-Off (GMT): 16:00 – Sun 23 Sep
It was far from the ideal performance from Unai Emery’s men at the Emirates.
Arsenal were slow and lacking in ideas from the off as they struggled to cope with Everton’s high-pressure opening.
The visitors created a lot of chances but couldn’t find a way past Petr Cech. It only looked like a matter of time until the deadlock was broken but when it came, it was at the other end.
Aaron Ramsey found some space on the edge of the visitors’ box and slid the ball into the path of Alexandre Lacazette who took a shot before unleashing a fine shot in the far top corner.

The Gunners sensed an opportunity and pressed forward in numbers. Mesut Ozil had his choice of passes when he was clean through down the right. He squared it to Aaron Ramsey who flicked into the path of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to score.
