The final match of Arsenal’s preseason was supposed to be something of a return for head coach Unai Emery.
The Gunners’ intended opponents, Sevilla were replaced by Lazio several weeks ago but Emery’s men didn’t let that distract them.
Youngster Reiss Nelson continued his productive preseason with another goal after he followed up on Alex Iwobi’s strike which rebounded off the post.
The Gunners survived until half-time and Emery made a number of changes after the break.

Those subs combined well as the Gunners doubled their advantage. Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang combined as the Gabon striker made it 2-0 via a deflection.
Arsenal controlled the match in the final 30 minutes to take a comfortable win into next week’s Premier League opener.
