It was always going to be a tough one but few expected it to be this hard.
Watford dominated the match against Arsenal at times, particularly at the start of either half.
Arsenal certainly had their chances, particularly in the latter stages of each half with Alexandre Lacazette at the centre of it.
The Frenchman looked to be having an afternoon to forget after missing a number of chances including a one-on-one opportunity against Ben Foster.

Watford had the better of the opportunities in the second 45 but Unai Emery’s substitutions certainly made the difference.
Alex Iwobi had a hand in the opening goal of the match when his squared ball bounced off Craig Cathcart and into the back of the net.
Alexandre Lacazette was closest to Cathcart for the opener but he turned provider for Mesut Ozil to make the points safe.
