Arsenal beat Chelsea on penalties in the penultimate match of their preseason after a 1-1 draw in Paris.

Arsenal were forced into a change before the match even started. Aaron Ramsey was replaced by Emile Smith Rowe and it affected the Gunners early on.
Smith Rowe lost his man from a corner as Antonio Rudiger came out of nowhere to power a header past Cech.
Cech had a chance to made amends less than ten minutes later. Hector Bellerin conceded a penalty but his teammate Cech stepped up to make an important stop to deny Alvaro Morata.
The chances started to come for both teams as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang squandered a good opportunity for the Gunners before Petr Cech saved a couple of good openings at the other end.

Arsenal came close to finding an equaliser late on when a finely struck shot from Alex Iwobi was brilliantly saved by Chelsea’s 18-year-old substitute goalkeeper Marcin Bulka.
Bulka made another fine stop to deny Lacazette in extra-time but the Frenchman had the last laugh. A simple cross came in and Lacazette was on hand to make it 1-1 with almost the last kick of the match.
