Match: Chelsea v Arsenal
Stadium: Stamford Bridge
Kick-Off (GMT): Wed 10 Jan 20:00
It was hardly a classic at Stamford Bridge this evening. 0-0 draws can occasionally be amongst the most exciting matches in football but this was not one of those occasions.
Chelsea and Arsenal shared a goalless 90 minutes in the first leg of this Carabao Cup semi final but one side will be far happier than the other.
The Blues crafted a host of decent opportunities but just couldn’t find a way past either the dogged Arsenal defence or David Ospina playing behind them.

The Gunners were certainly set up not to lose and didn’t exactly create too many opportunities in front of goal.
However, Arsenal fans could point to one moment of contention in the first-half when the referee refused to award Arsene Wenger’s men a potential penalty – even after the decision went to the video referee.
