Pierre-Emerick missed a late penalty as the Gunners missed the chance to beat Spurs at Wembley.
Team News – Player Ratings – Match Highlights
Match: Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal
Stadium: Wembley Stadium
Kick-Off (UK Time): 12:30 02/03/2019
North London Derbies are unlike any other fixture in the Premier League calendar and this was no exception.
Arsenal took a first-half lead when Alexandre Lacazette played a fine pass through for the onrushing Aaron Ramsey. The Welshman calmly rounded Hugo Lloris to score.
Spurs piled the pressure on before the break but Bernd Leno was on hand to produce an excellent double-save to keep it at 1-0.
That changed after the break in a tale of two penalties. The first fell for Harry Kane and Spurs as the Englishman stepped up to score, while the second was at the other end and late on.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameynag burst clear and was brought down but when the Gabonese forward stepped up, his effort was saved by Hugo Lloris.
Arsenal were also reduced to ten men late on when Lucas Torreira was shown a straight red leaving the Gunners frustrated after a match they should have won comfortably.
Here are the match highlights (will open in a separate tab).
