Arsenal’s woeful away form has been well publicised of late and there was a considerable amount of worry from fans ahead of this fixture.

A good start but things got better for Arsenal less than two minutes later when Watford captain Troy Deeney was shown a straight red card for violent conduct.
Replays showed that the decision was a little harsh but on first glance, the Watford striker appeared to catch Lucas Torreira on the face with a loose elbow.
Arsenal saw the half out and Unai Emery rang the changes after the break. A return to 3-4-3 saw the Gunners solidify defensively as they saw out the match to pick up three vital points.
